The Key to Safe Sun

As in love as we are with summer, the beach and a golden glow, at He-Shi we are proud of the fact that the sun has no place in our tanning regime! That’s right, we’re fakers and not ashamed to admit it!

The risks of sun exposure and the harmful effect of sunbeds have been well documented in the media in recent years and it is now proven that there is no such thing as a safe, natural tan. He-Shi, however, can give you a ‘natural looking’ bronze without any dangerous risks.

He-Shi’s Smart Guide to Summer Tanning

• Start your pre-holiday/ pre-event prep 2 days in advance, by carrying out any shaving or waxing.
• The next day, exfoliate well with He-Shi Exfoliating Bodywash in the shower. Then apply your favourite He-Shi tanning product.
• Ideally leave your tan to fully develop overnight and then shower in the morning. Pat dry, do not rub! Apply He-Shi Soufflé Moisturiser on top to leave skin glowing!
• Apply a high factor sunscreen whenever your skin is exposed to the sun.
• Moisturise daily and exfoliate on the third day to ensure an even wear off.
• To keep your tan topped up whilst on holiday simply apply more He-Shi tan before you go to bed, showering in the morning and then sunscreen on top!
• Alternatively, keep your skin glowing for longer with regular top ups of He-Shi Day to Day Gradual.

MISS IRELAND COMPETITION - WON BY MISS DERRY

[image1]Laura a 19 year old Law & Accountancy student was crowned in front of 400 people in a sold out event Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire last week.

British Skin Foundation - Skin Cancer Appeal

It has been well reported that skin cancer is on the increase; as such He-Shi is constantly trying to educate the nation that self tanning really is a viable option when it comes to achieving that golden tan.

Matthew Patey, Chief Executive from the British Skin Foundation points out that: "There are a number of ways you can achieve a tan without having to put yourself at risk from sun damage and self tanning is one such method. Every penny raised for the BSF Skin Cancer Appeal will go directly back into research to finding treatments and hopefully, cures for skin cancer."

To coincide with the BSF – Skin Cancer Appeal He-Shi pledged £1 for every bottle of He-Shi sold during the first two weeks of May. During this period He-Shi raised £6,208 and would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those who donated and contributed.

Hi Guys! Guess What? Since the weather forecast for August is rain, rain and more rain, there’s going to be very little chance for sunbathing!

We don’t think that’s fair! So we’re going to run a competition to help one lucky person get a beautiful bronzed tan by sending them a bottle of He-Shi Tan and a He-Shi Tanning Mitt absolutely free!

Miss Belfast 2009

He-Shi is proud to announce that it will be supporting Miss Belfast 2009 which will take place in the Northern Whig on Thursday, 23 April. He-Shi will be providing tanning for all of the contestants and the one lucky winner will win one year’s free He-Shi Tanning. One lucky lady will be crowned Miss Belfast and will go on to represent Belfast at the prestigious Miss Universe Ireland Competition.

A sunshine of success reigned on He-Shi on the launch of their new repackaged and extended Tanning range held on Monday 2 June 2008 at their exclusive showroom in Maryland Industrial Estate off the Ballygowan Road, Moneyrea.

He-shi has become a tan in demand and following recent developments He-Shi have refreshed and repackaged the best selling Instant Self Tanning Range branded for both Him and Her.

The day was bustling with buyers of He-Shi Tan such as Helen Alcorn from Urban Skincare Centre in Belfast who said “He-shi is one of the best products I have ever trained with and used in my salon, retail sales are phenomenal and the new packaging is absolutely fab, I believe this will take the brand to a different level.” Also in attendance was Slater Design responsible for the new prestigious He-Shi packaging.

Hilary McMurray founder of He-Shi Express Tanning Range said “the buzz of the day was fantastic. The new look He-Shi, which has a very modern and contemporary feel has been very well received by the trade and public alike. It was great to see so many media and press visitors present for the occasion.

He-Shi bodywash can be massaged all over the face and body whilst showering, paying particular attention to elbows, knees and areas of dry skin, these are the most common areas for tanning applications to go wrong.
